Governance
thePHO is a registered charitable not-for-profit organisation governed by an independent Board of Directors.
The Board provides strategic oversight and is accountable for the governance of thePHO, including organisational performance, financial sustainability, clinical quality and safety, and ensuring the organisation remains focused on its purpose.
Day-to-day leadership and management is delegated to the Chief Executive and thePHO leadership team.
Our Board
thePHO is governed by a skills-based Board with experience across general practice, clinical care, governance, business and the wider health sector.
The Board sets the strategic direction of thePHO and oversees organisational performance, risk, financial stewardship and clinical governance.
Its role is to ensure thePHO remains sustainable, accountable and focused on improving health and wellbeing by strengthening general practice.
Board members are appointed for three-year terms, with one director elected as Chair.
