Applications are sought from individuals working in primary care or general practice within New Zealand who are:

• A General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner or
• A Registered Nurse working in General Practice or
• A Registered Allied Health Professional or
• A qualified financial or business professional or
• Able to represent the interests of Māori.

The Directors of thePHO will be skills-based appointments selected by the Board of the PHO Holding Company - which comprises solely of GenPro members. All applicants must demonstrate strengths across the generic Director requirements set out in Part A of the Skills Matrix, together with the specific skills applicable to the relevant Director position as outlined in Part B of the Skills Matrix.

Remuneration
The appointments will be made in accordance with the Board Charter and Code of Conduct including remuneration and expenses for Board meetings, Committee meetings or other meetings attended on behalf of thePHO.

Term of Appointment
Appointments to the initial substantive Board will be for a mix of one and two year terms. This approach is intended to support continuity, stability and orderly succession during establishment. Appointed Directors will usually be eligible to apply for reappointment at the end of their term.
